ORIENTATION AND SNEAK- a - PEEK
New Parent and PK Parent Orientation, Thursday, August 22, 2024
- 5:00 pm New Parent Orientation for parents of students in grades PK-5th
- Families new to SPX will meet in Nelson Hall (adults only)
- 5:45 pm Pre Kindergarten 3 and 4 year old Parent Back to School Night (adults only)
- Pre-K parents will meet with your child(ren)’s preschool teacher in the classroom to learn about the early childhood program.
Sneak-a-Peek/6th Grade Orientation, Friday, August 23, 2024
- 9:00-10:30 am: Sneak-a-Peek
- Bring your child(ren) to see their class placement, drop off all supplies, meet their teachers, and see new and old friends!
- 10:30-11:30 am: Middle School 6th Grade Student and NEW 7th Grade Student Orientation
- All 6th Graders and NEW 7th Graders will assemble in their homeroom class, where they will meet the middle school teachers, learn their schedule and the policies and procedures of Middle School.
- 10:30-11:30 am: Middle School 6th Grade Parents, NEW 7th Graders and their Parents Orientation
- All 6th Grade parents and new 7th graders and their parents will meet the middle school team and learn the policies and procedures of Middle School. Meeting location will be announced soon.
The Community Building Committee of HSA is once again sponsoring our Back to School BBQ. This event is a great way to connect with other school families and is held in the back parking lot (please park around front). The HSA provides hot dogs, hamburgers, bottles of water, and moonbounces! Please bring any sides, desserts or drinks your family would like (this is not a potluck). The cost is $5 per person, with a maximum of $20 for families of 4 - 8.
A Kona Ice Truck will also be present for families to purchase from - 20% of the proceeds will be put towards the PreK playground fundraising efforts! Note: Kona Ice is NOT included with your tickets - items are for direct purchase by families.
GOT SNEAKERS???
St. Pius X is holding an athletic shoe drive fundraiser to raise money for SGA. SPX will earn funds based on the total quantity of gently worn, used, and new sneakers collected. GotSneakers, a social enterprise, will issue funds in compensation for the collected sneakers. Those funds will benefit SGA. Anyone can help by simply donating gently worn, used, and new sneakers.
GotSneakers has developed a unique fundraising program that asks communities to reach into their closets, not their pockets! The sneaker recycling program helps keep sneakers out of landfills, which has harmful effects on our environment, and helps organizations like ours raise much needed funds.
